Check it out!
A big thank-you to all of our fishing guests, returning and new alike! This year Big “C” was back for his 10th season, Richard for his 8th, and Peter for his 2nd.
Although it was said fishing was slower than normal both north and south of us, there was no evidence of that by the boxes of fish that left Ocean Falls. Thanks guys for all your dedication and hard work in making every one’s fishing trip a success. With your exceptional fishing skills and knowing where and how to catch fish proved to everyone that you will catch fish @ Walls Fish Camp. Matt did a great job on the docks in the evenings when the boats came in, cleaning, fueling and preparing them for the next day.
Nothing works up an appetite like a day of fishing for trophy salmon! Back at the lodge tasty hors d’oeuvres are waiting for you to enjoy with a cocktail before dinner, followed by a gourmet home-style dinner tastefully prepared by Eva.
2007 couldn’t have ended any better as we were catching lots of Coho in the high teens and in the sunshine no less! A great way to end the season!
We are looking forward to another successful fishing season in 2008, with the same competent friendly staff as last year. We hope to see most of you again this summer, or in the near future. Where else do they say.…..We guarantee you will catch fish!!!!!
Give us a call to book your fishing trip soon to avoid disappointment as space is limited. Looking forward to hearing from you soon. Jim & Joann Walls
Imagine the thrill of hooking a 61 lb. Chinook salmon. First the strike! Such power, you’d swear it was a Grizzly Bear on the line… then the life and death struggle as the salmon fights to continue its journey to ancestral spawning grounds in the rivers of BC’s wild and remote West Coast.
There are no other fishing boats around. It’s just you, your fishing companion and your fishing guide who skillfully maneuvers the boat to give you the best chance of landing your Tyee prize. When you are fishing with the experienced fishing guides from Walls Fish Camp then chances are pretty good there are no competing anglers in sight. Because of the remoteness of Ocean Falls our fishing charters are usually the only ones on the water in May when the big Chinook salmon run!
Extraordinary Trout fishing! We also offer fishing guides for freshwater fishing charters. Our Cutthroat Trout fishing charters are on beautiful 18-mile long, mountain edged Link Lake. A usual day will see you hooking into up to 200 trout (Yes, we said 200!) spin casting or fly fishing. Please contact us for more information about our fishing charters and fishing lodge or to book your fishing charter.
The Northern central West coast of British Columbia, Canada. Ocean Falls should be listed in the dictionary under “getting away from it all”. We are approximately 300 air miles North of Vancouver, BC; 150 miles north of Port Hardy on northern Vancouver Island; 60 miles west of Bella Coola and 25 miles east of Bella Bella on BC’s magnificent west coast. Even though Ocean Falls is located on the BC mainland the terrain is so rugged that we are accessible only by sea or air.
Walls Fish Camp and Fishing Lodge is tucked away at the head of Cousins Inlet (off of Dean Channel) and is isolated by steep terrain and rugged coastal mountains.
Although there are many remote fishing destinations along the BC West Coast, none can match Walls Fish Camp for outstanding saltwater sport fishing and freshwater fly fishing opportunities. Our community of Ocean Falls, BC is also known for historical uniqueness and guests can stroll around the town site in the evening after a great dinner at our oceanfront fishing lodge.
From May through September the countless fjords and channels of west coast British Columbia offer the ultimate in saltwater fishing pleasure for all 5 species of salmon. For a change our guests will often drop a line for the plentiful bottom fish including Halibut (up to 160 lbs.), Ling Cod, Rock Fish and Red Snapper. Add a day of freshwater trout fishing on Link Lake to your fishing charter and now you have a “reel” BC fishing vacation.
Walls Fish Camp welcomes all visitors to Ocean Falls. We offer all-inclusive fishing charters (both saltwater salmon fishing and freshwater trout fishing) with fishing lodge accommodations but you are also welcome to drop in. Whether you arrive via BC Ferries or in your own boat or float plane looking for a spot to spend a wonderful day or two we will make you feel at home and ensure that you will have the British Columbia, Canada experience of a lifetime. Contact us to ensure availability.
