BC Sport Fishing Extraordinaire!

Saltwater Fishing - Trophy Salmon Fishing

Freshwater Fishing - Cutthroat Trout Fishing

Walls Fishing Camp and Fishing Lodge is in the business of fishing… and that’s a good thing, since we are located smack dab in the middle of some of the best salmon fishing and trout fishing grounds on the West coast of British Columbia, Canada.

Whether you prefer saltwater fishing for the 5 species of Pacific salmon swimming by the front door of our oceanfront fishing lodge or freshwater fly fishing for cutthroat trout in nearby Link Lake, we have the fishing charters, fishing guides and oceanfront fishing lodge available for you to plan your Canada fishing trip! And don't forget about crabbing and prawning… the prawns are huge and crab abundant in these pristine West coast BC waters.

Saltwater Fishing

Our saltwater salmon fishing season begins in May for Chinook salmon (Kings). These Chinook salmon are headed for the Dean and Bella Coola Rivers, their home spawning rivers that cut deep into the wild west coast of British Columbia, Canada. When you hook into one of these mighty Tyee salmon (30 lbs. and over) this early in the year you had better be ready…these wild BC salmon know how to fight for their lives!

Size Matters. Generally the salmon caught in our fishing area are in the 25-60 lb. Range (FYI - our camp record for this early fishery is a 61 lb. King Chinook salmon - AKA Tyee). Because of the remoteness of our location in Ocean Falls on the west coast of British Columbia we are virtually the only ones on the water this time of the year! So it becomes truly a battle between one man (and his fishing guide) and one fish and it’s yours to win. (didn’t Hemmingway write a little something about this epic marine struggle?)

Freshwater Fishing

There’s trout fishing and there’s “BC trout fishing”. We’re more than just action-packed salmon fishing. When you book a fishing charter with Walls Fish Camp you also have the opportunity to go fly fishing or spin casting for Cutthroat Trout in the pristine, crystal clear waters of beautiful Link Lake.

Link Lake is an 18-mile long closely guarded secret surrounded by snow-capped mountains that start at the waters edge. The fact that it is right in our back yard also makes it convenient.

Getting Here is Half the Fun!

All of our guests fly to our BC fishing lodge in Ocean Falls via Pacific Coastal Airlines from either Vancouver, British Columbia or Port Hardy on the northern tip of Vancouver Island. Our chartered plane, either a Grumman Goose or a Beaver, will take you on the last leg of your trip into Ocean Falls. Your flight along the spectacular BC, Canada coastline is something you won't soon forget.
